Ordinarily I might entertain the thought that this had occurred but after the "confirmed" (with photos lacking corroborating meta data) destruction of hundreds of himars...it's hard to get worked up about this scoop

My guess is it is just a probe. It is reportedly a very marshy area and not very practical but we can expect to see Ukraine probing in a lot of places hoping to find a weak spot. If it distracts the Russians into moving troops from one area to another than so much the better.

Considering it took place in the early days where things was a bit chaotic, the enemy might be scared of it, and it could be a local morale boost, I don't see it as propaganda - especially since the Ukranians said it wasn't true short time later.

What is propaganda is that the russians have claimed to destroy the Ukrainian air force several times, destroyed over hundred himars systems and even managed to obliterate Leopards, Challengers, you name it. before they even entered Ukrainian territory.
