No that isn't what is said - if putin got into a fight with NATO, it would be over quite fast. Russia can't even take over a small country like Ukraine so how should it be able to win over NATO ?

I've heard the Russian economy is doing well because the sanctions forced re-investment in Russia instead of oligarchs sending it abroad.

    .
I'm pretty sure that you are hearing lots of things from russian bots, but that doesn't make it true - russian economy are imploding faster than putin likes.

China will back Russia in a war against Nato
No they wont. That would destroy their economy and ensure the defense of Taiwan.

Berz, for Trump, "sincerely held belief" just means that which serves his ends.
For him, it has nothing to do with the facts of the matter.
The fact that people like you think that's somehow an excuse for anything he does or has done, is a big part of the problem.

So basically the choice is that Trump is either a complete moron, or a nefarious liar (not excluding the possibility that he's both).

Of course then Fra/UK did join the war after the attack on Poland - but without a decisive attempt to stop Germany (tho the reasons are surely more complex), and then things in the west turned into the Sitzkrieg quickly. In less than a year things changed so that they could not avoid all-out war anymore.

I think Trump sincerely believes the election was rigged right along with a big chunk of the GOP.

Most of them aren't liars. They just loyally and enthusiastically quaff the kool-ade. I'm not even sure Trump is primarily a liar in this regard, although being deluded enough to treat his wishful thinking as established fact makes him even less suited to the presidency than the usual pathological liar behavior patterns.

Whoever did it was 8 years too late, at least.
