Well, that is both retarded and stupid. Please tell me how the parliament following the constitution after a corrupt former President flees the country after trying to execute his opposition is a "coup". He was legally removed, new elections were legally held, after he committed gross human rights violations and crimes against the people. A strange "coup" which follows the constitution.
A more honest and intelligent person would call that following the constitution. Don't let facts get in your way of spouting horse crap Putinist propaganda though.

Prediction Thread: When Will Ukraine Conquer Russia

Hostilities began when the elected leader of Ukraine was ousted by a coup backed by the USA. Ukraine had millions of "separatists" who opposed that coup and they knew who the muscle was behind it. Persecution was coming, group by group. Millions of Ukrainians rejected the coup and right wing rule, they weren't little green men. If you're right, why did Russia and the people of the Donbas support Minsk? That deal kept them in Ukraine.Originally posted by BeBMan View Post
Except that Russia started hostilities by sending green men to Crimea, seizing control, then annexxing it. Russian "volunteer" forces also participated on the side of the so-called separatists in Donbas, there's plenty of evidence. And those "separatists", as we see now, were not at all about autonomy, separatism or even independence - they were just a means to carve out pieces of Ukraine that Putin liked to have for a variety of reasons.
As for Crimea, the people there didn't support the coup either and they were defended by Russia's military bases. Any country in that situation would move in more forces to protect their bases. Ukraine blockaded Crimea but Russia didn't attack them. Why didn't the millions of eastern Ukrainians join Azov to repel Russian little green men? Have you noticed how our media ignores opinion polls of people living in war zones when democracy gets in the way of profit?

Did eastern Ukrainians defend themselves from Russia in 2014-5? No, they were being attacked by Kiev's army so they asked for Russia's help. Ofc Putin responded, the Russian people wanted him to defend their brethren.

They voted to federalize Ukraine and the entire ballot was about greater autonomy. Their intent was clear long before Azov started shelling them.Originally posted by Geronimo View PostIt's incredibly important that neither Donbas independence, including any part of the Donbas, nor Donbas accession to Russia were on the ballot Berz.

The USSR was dissolving and Gorbachev offered a new deal and the various member states voted on it, Crimea agreed to the deal if they regained their status as a republic. Apparently Oblasts have less power within the old union. Crimea was home to the Russian Black Sea fleet, much of the population were employed or on pensions and they did not want to lose that with independence. Much of the resistance to Maidan came from retirees who feared losing money.Originally posted by Dinner View PostI utterly and completely laugh at the idiotic ideo that 90% voted to join Russia. The Russians literally went around armed with guns telling people they had to vote for annexation. What type of moron thinks that is a fair vote?
Gorbachev's effort failed so Crimea voted 54% to join Ukraine. A few years later both Crimea and Donbas overwhelmingly voted for more autonomy. I dont know why ya'll think Russia had to force them to 'separate' from Ukraine. Did eastern Ukrainians defend themselves from Russia in 2014-5? No, they were being attacked by Kiev's army so they asked for Russia's help. Ofc Putin responded, the Russian people wanted him to defend their brethren.

Cheap and lightweight. But, definitely not all weather. Doesn’t it rain a fair amount in Ukraine?

Aussies seems to send their bleeding edge high tech weapons to ukraine
Technically it sounds kind of crazy, but if it actually can deliver serious payloads it may not be that crazy at all

Some fun facts about this - these demonstrations are made of a Moldovian party that has some 5% votes in the country, the leader of the party is an oligarch probably financed by russia - he has apparently committed serious crimes and have fled the country. Those left behind are being investigated for russian money financing these "demonstrations". Moldova may probably not be on the top of becoming an EU member, but I think the large majority of the country would prefer that over some nefarious russian connection.Originally posted by Uncle Sparky View PostSo since Polytubbies seemed to have missed it, pro-Russian demonstrations have been taking place in Moldova (that bit between Ukraine and Romania). Moldova used to have Black Sea ports, and after being rejected by Romania and Ukraine as 'partners' (Moldava is a basket case), seems to see this as a chance to ingratiate itself by opening some sort of western front, and maybe capturing a port or two.
Of course, Romania would probably be pulled in if a conflict occures. And this would give Putin the excuse he needs..

I guess he's referring to some referendums about autonomy and language institutionalization in the 90's Dinner.
