Geronimo has it right. Nor do i support removing Democrats from Alabama or Republicans from New York. What a wonky question

If he played it smarter in the early 2000s I think so, yes. Edit: back then they probably also thought in Russia that neighbouring ex-Soviet states will always remain under Russian influence anyway.

But that's not who he is, and a peaceful settlement would not have been benefitial to his strongman image as much, which he's relying on domestically.

Now with full scale war he has shot himself in the foot, and Ukrainian bravery and Western santions/help will shoot him in the other.

Has anyone been removed anywhere at all in Ukraine? Oh that's right, Putin removed 30,000 children from their parents that must be the removal you mean. No I daresay Plato doesn't want Putin removing the children from Crimea.

The people in those regions didn't support the coup, so will you support their removal?

I think the NHL's Winnipeg Jets (my hometeam) should hire Putin as a center. Every time Putin plays hockey, he scores 7 to 10 goals, and the Jets are in a bit of a slump. Also I suspect many of the non-Russian players, may accidentally check him rather hard, or accidentally hit him in the head with slapshots. I mean it's been almost 20 years since the Bertuzzi incident - time for a Putin incident?

Back in 2014 I recall saying that "Crimea should probably be Russian, but not like this." At this point it would be hard to say that any area should be ruled by Putin. Russia probably could have negotiated Crimea away from Ukraine with some heavy incentives before they took it. Now though, I fully support Ukraine retaking Crimea as well as the Donbas. Here is hoping they are capable.

To be honest, I was sympathetic to Russia taking Crimea. And I understood the real politic of Russia's actions in the east, although I opposed them. But Russia's invasion last year was completely out of line, and not at all defensible. And I am now sympathetic to Ukraine on Crimea and Reparations, and Donbas is clear.

Are you saying neo-Nazis have the right to shoot cops and protesters to topple the democratically elected leader? Even the coup government agreed to Minsk, they were over ruled by Azov and the USA.

Let's see what kind of future he has after he burnt through most of the prison-recruited manpower of Wagner...but maybe he finds another source.

I haven't heard in a long time about those 30000 Syrians that were supposed to fight for Putin...

Are you saying Ukraine does not have a right to choose what alliance it wants to be part of?

correction, Washington and Nato may have rejected Russia's demand Ukraine stay out of Nato, not that Ukraine couldn't join.
Working...
