judging by comparative property damage alone as well as the large lag we saw in Iraq in documentation of civillian casualties, and yes, I don't believe there is any reason to believe more Iraqis were killed than Ukrainians. I especially don't see anything to indicate that Russia has used less ordinance against civillian infrastructure than the US-coalition did in Iraq. This year in Ukraine has been incredibly intense Serb.

I don't believe over a million were killed there. Every source that ever claimed that used very dodgy statistical assumptions. However the high end numbers are terrible. I think the civilians had a much harder time safely getting out of the way in Iraq than in ukraine and I think the numbers in ukraine are far far worse than we realize.
