My reading was different to yours, but these statements usually have a subtext which may be why you read it that way (and I can't say that subtext is not there). At face value and accounting for poor phrasing I read it as 'Pick based on the criteria of merit, and not on a criteria of diversity characteristics to meet a diversity target', given afterwards he says that if a person ticks the diversity box it is fine but should not be the reason they are selected for the role.

Meritocracy always beats a ****ocracy you have!
If a black transgender is more professionl in his job - fine!
But it should be his merit, what makes his leader to pick him-up for his team, not a simple fact that he is black transgender.

That is such a simple thing for any leader!!!

Ukraine war: Russian warplane 'accidentally bombs own city'

The defence ministry in Moscow says a Russian fighter jet accidentally bombed the city of Belgorod near the border with Ukraine.

Regional Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said the blast had left a huge crater about 20 metres (60 ft) wide in the city centre.

Two women were injured and several buildings were damaged, he said.

A Su-34 fighter-bomber jet accidentally discharged aircraft ordnance, the ministry said.

The incident took place at 22:15 local time (19:15 GMT) on Thursday, Russian news agencies said. An investigation is under way.

Photos and videos on social media show apartments damaged by the blast, while one image appears to a show a car on the roof of a building.

Belgorod - a city of 370,000 - is around 25 miles (40 km) from the Ukrainian border. It lies just north of Ukraine's second city, Kharkiv, and people there have been living in fear of Ukrainian shelling since the Russian invasion of Ukraine last year.

Russian jets also regularly fly over the city on their way to Ukraine.
A dramatic blast which shook residents of Belgorod is being blamed on an accidental air strike.

Exactly. It was literally a 1080's Soviet era prototype of an extended T-80 with cardboard covering it. The turret didn't even work.

Kinda like that Super T-80 that was made of cardboard covered by netting?

The T-95 never existed. The video covers that topic as well.

    Any second now.
T-14s are a piece of dog droppings. There are only eight prototypes after 20 years of try, they literally were built around the worst WW2 Nazi tank engine with a reputation for being unreliable crap, almost nothing works on them except the 1980's western sourced equipment (because Russia is blocked from buying any better yet is incapable of producing it's own), and the prototypes are such pieces of crap they break down going a half mile in a military parade. A garbage Potemkin tank which perfectly describes Russia.

I wonder if you could have ever agreed with that in January 2022?
