Did you miss the part about it being free? I don't need a second car and haven't had to buy a car in 20 years. I get to use my money for other desires.Originally posted by Serb View Post
Right! Keep lecturing me about how poor we are for driving Lexuses.

...and I didn't lecture you. I pointed out that Russians on average are poorer. I have no idea your wealth nor do I care.
Number one selling car in Russia 2021? This beauty.

That is your problem! I don't care about expenses and HONESTLY don't know and do not bother about the gas price!Originally posted by Wezil View Post

But I did an effort to recall, it's something like 1600 roubles for 30 litters, wich is somethin like 1.9 per gallon.

Yeah, a phone is also one of my perqs. The company wanted me to have an iphone and I was happy with a fliptop. They had to pay for the change.Originally posted by My Wife Hates CIV View Posti retired so now i get my own phone. i had a company phone for 30 years. but now i can do anything with MY phone. so, my question is to Wezil, do they know everything about the compancy car? or can you use it as you see fit???
The company car is for whatever personal use I want. I even took the year off in 2021 (ailing father) but kept the car for trips back and forth to eastern Ontario (250 miles each way). My company treats me well."I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow

Not having to buy a car is nice. Not exactly "freedom" but since that is the current topic...Originally posted by Serb View Post

Aside from less than $100 on my credit card I owe nothing to a bank. I'm semi-retired and eyeing full retirement in the next couple years.
