Wouldn't two cars for one person count as conspicuous consumption? Isn't that the sort of thing you puritans in Russia frown upon?"I have never killed a man, but I have read many obituaries with great pleasure." - Clarence Darrow

That is actually how you calculate your GDP in the West - you don't own a ****, but since you are driving two cars you are two times richer!Originally posted by Wezil View PostWouldn't two cars for one person count as conspicuous consumption? (I am not joking with that)

In 2021 it was BMW.

A bit but sometimes it is nice to have. I drive a 2016 Tacoma (Thankfully paid off), my wife drives a 2019 Camry bought just before the civic shutdowns (still $8000 owed on that), about two month ago I bought a 2009 Corolla for the teenager (paid cash), and my toy car is 1967 Chevy which is about 90% restored. Supposedly, Toyota is going to redesign the 4Runner next year and I really want to get one but I suppose we will habe to see what prices and features look like first. Either way I'd keep the Tacoma as it is paid off and it is always nice to have a truck when you need one.Originally posted by Wezil View PostWouldn't two cars for one person count as conspicuous consumption? Aside from the "toy car" I see 3 cars for 3 people. Quickly doing the math I think that is 1 car per person.Originally posted by Dinner View Post
