Thanks for clarifying. "Gas" AFAIK doesn't include diesel anywhere. I thought you were replying to the thread.

At least back home, nobody says 'fuel' if they want to refer to both gasoline and diesel, we just use the word for gasoline. I'm not really sure if there's a word for that in English (since fuel also includes natural gas and wood). In any case, the price of diesel has also gone up, so I figured it was also included in the discussion.
