I wouldn't call it hyperbole in this case; just a little exagerated. The Apocalypse only has to destroy 1/3 of the food supply, and doesn't touch oil or wine. This hits about 20% of the global grain supply, and blows the crap out of vegetable oil.

One wonders what the Chinese government is thinking. China does have terrotorial disputes with Russia for quite a bit of land including Vladivostock and surrounding areas.

Perhaps they are thinking it would be jolly lark to hop over the Ussuri River and grab some territory.

On the other hand they might be wondering their military equipment has actually been maintained or the funds stolen. Have their troops been trained? Do their trucks have fuel or tyres?

I think China probably has maintained its forces and infrastructure; unlike Russia, China depends on its industrial capacity (and capability) for success.

He (Sergei Sreda) posted pictures and interviews of his visit in the Wagner HQ in the Donezk PRC.
A short while afterwards, a HiMARS-Missile hit the Wagner HQ.
One of his pictures he posted contained enough informations for Ukraine in order to identify the HQ,target it with a high precision Missile and destroy it

Interesting detail:
When Sreda visited the Wagner HQ he met Yevgeny Prigozhin there (Putins cook and owner of the Wagner PMC).
Since the attack noone has heard or seen anything from Prigozhin.
The Russians, of course, claim he is still alive ... whether this is the truth or not, noone knows
