  • Kazahkstan is not a pariah either but noone cares for it.
If you're not a pariah to china, then you're a pariah, IMO

    • Looks like the putin are looking for a proud surrender victory - they say now that they will waddle back from Kiev to show good faith - minor problem is of course they are being beaten by the ukrainians there.

On another note, the "ukrainian clown" made a speech to the danish parliament today - one thing is mentioning companies leaving russia, but he also asked if we would use a dansih tradition of setting candle lights in the windows (one that started on the liberation day of WWII) for the Ukranians - well, maybe it's better to have an intelligent clown as president compared to have a kgb clown as a such
With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.

That's how & why Ukraine is winning the PR war so decisively.
Plus, you know, being in the right and all...

    • Obviously I was wrong. Ukraine has done an amazing job defending and Russia has done a poor job attacking.

      • Putin must have shot too many messengers. It appears his own generals are afraid to tell him bad news.

        • Looks like the rouble's back. But not out of his own strength, only after massive intervention.

Now Russia wants to get foreign customers (esp. EU) to pay stuff in rouble. Which was already declined.

That could mean gas/oil flows to Western Europe will be restricted or even stopped by Russia, should they follow through on their demands.

Which mean they'd also lose the income generated by this, though I often read currently it cannot be used anyway due to banking sanctions.

Dunno really if that is correct, I understand banking sanctions vs. Russia as "partial" or "targetted" only so far, not all-encompassing.

                  • For every measure, a counter measure. Eventually, then a counter counter measure and so on.

I can see a mini version of a CIWS mounted of a tank.

Anyone have any idea if this is a lot or if this is typical? Seems like a lot to me.

That's what the Kremlin and most Russian media claimed at first....
The Russian media that didn't claim that were quickly shut down by authorities for "spreading fake news"
