    • When asked if Biden regrets killing a US aid worker and a bunch of children, Psaki said that he regrets it the same as when anyone dies, not more because he killed them.

I was astonished to read that Trump actually obtained legal advice about whether Pence could overturn the election! Apparently a lot of pressure was placed on Pence but all he can do is accept the electoral college vote count!

                • From what I have seen so far I think I prefer Trump to Biden. I am not American so I look more to foreign policy than to the domestic policies of a POTUS. Trump did a great job of antagonising allies however Biden seems to be doing an even more thorough job of antagonising allies and seems even more unpredictable than Trump. Trump came from his "America First" position and actually talked to people whereas it seems unclear where Biden is coming from. Biden seems to just make decisions with no consultation with friends, allies and trade partners.

Blindsiding the French with an Australian submarine deal was extremely discreditable to both the United States and Australia. And Boris Johnson managed to bring discredit to the United Kingdom but that another story. Nobody expected creditable behaviour from Trump or from the current Australian government and Biden has now also plumbed the depths, down there with Trump and Morrison.

                  • The luxury French fashion brand Saint Laurent will stop designing clothes using fur from next year, its parent company Kering has said.

Another Kering brand, Brioni, would also be fur-free by the autumn 2022 collections, the firm said.

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (Peta) welcomed the move after what it called a "decades-long" push to get Kering to ban the use of fur.

"Nobody with a heart will wear fur. No designer with any sense will touch it. Any fashion house still selling it in 2021 is an embarrassment," Peta said in a statement.

Saint Laurent and Brioni were the last of Kering's brands to ban the use of fur: Gucci, Balenciaga, Bottega Venata and Alexander McQueen all do not use fur.

"When it comes to animal welfare, our Group has always demonstrated its willingness to improve practices within its own supply chain and the luxury sector in general," Mr Pinault said.

"The time has now come to take a further step forward by ending the use of fur in all our collections. The world has changed, along with our clients, and luxury naturally needs to adapt to that."

Peta said it had taken becoming a Kering shareholder and a letter, written on their behalf from the actress Gillian Anderson ahead of the 2021 annual meeting, before Kering declared itself fur-free.

And it has called on Louis Vuitton to follow Saint Laurent and ban fur. "Why is Louis Vuitton still keeping skins of tortured animals in its collections?" Peta said in its statement.

Louis Vuitton's parent company, LVMH, told AFP news agency that its fur products were being made "in the most ethical and responsible way possible" and it would not use fur from endangered species.
The fashion house's parent company, Kering, says all its brands will be fur-free by autumn 2022.

I'm not sure who Peta is, but this sounds like bad news for furries.

                    • I love how Trump was praising the audit, but was unaware that initial results were already being released. And the minute he saw that it didn't prove his BIG LIE... he walked back from his praise and then started babbling about fake news again. What a Clown.
And it is typical that the great con man, who has been collecting money from his stupid supporters to find evidence, hasn't spent a cent of his own money to do so, or to support his hand picked bunch of candidates... and instead has basically only spent money on his travel and his staff. He won't even put up a dime to support his own lies.

                      • Hunter Biden also tried to shake down Libya

A new and typically shady Hunter Biden deal, which he attempted to make with the government of Libya, has been revealed in a report from Business Insider. It took place while Joe Biden, "the big guy" who gets 10 percent, was Vice President in 2015.

The attempt to lock in a $2 million retainer fee with no experience and without doing actual work beforehand, again raises serious questions about corruption, especially considering the role of Hunter's father at the time. While the Libya deal failed, others did not.

During a trip to China onboard Air Force 2 in 2013, Hunter locked down millions in deals with Chinese Communist Party connected companies. Now that his father is president, he still owns a 10 percent state in Bohai Harvest RST Equity Investment Fund Management Co.

"What wasn't known then was that as he accompanied his father to China, Hunter Biden was forming a Chinese private equity fund that associates said at the time was planning to raise big money, including from China. Hunter Biden has acknowledged meeting with Jonathan Li, a Chinese banker and his partner in the fund during the trip, although his spokesman says it was a social visit," NBC News reports. "The Chinese business license that brought the new fund into existence was issued by Shanghai authorities 10 days after the trip, with Hunter Biden a member of the board."

Back in 2012, the wife of the mayor of Moscow paid Hunter Biden $2.5 million according to a U.S. Senate investigation.
U.S. Senators Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, and Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), chairman of the Senate Finance Committee, released a report that revealed millions of dollars in questionable financial transactions between Hunter Biden and his associates and foreign individuals, including the wife of the former mayor of Moscow and individuals with ties to the Chinese Communist Party.

Hunter Biden received a $3.5 million wire transfer from Elena Baturina. Ms. Baturina is the wife (widow) of the former mayor of Moscow.

The records acquired by the Committees show that Hunter Biden and his family were involved in a vast financial network that connected them to foreign nationals and foreign governments across the globe. Hunter Biden and Archer, in particular, formed significant and consistent financial relationships with the corrupt oligarch Mykola Zlochevsky during their time working for Burisma and their firms made millions of dollars from that association while Joe Biden was vice president and the public face of the Obama administration’s Ukraine policy. Rosemont Seneca Thornton, an investment firm co-founded by Hunter Biden, received $3.5 million in a wire transfer from Elena Baturina, who allegedly received illegal construction contracts from her husband, the former mayor of Moscow. Moreover, Archer’s apparent receipt of money for a car from Kenges Rakishev of Kazakhstan while Vice President Biden was in Kyiv is especially concerning in light of the timing. And finally, Biden and Archer’s work with Chinese nationals connected to the Communist regime illustrate the deep financial connections that accelerated while his father was vice president and continued after he left office.

And who could forget Hunter's $50,000 per month salary from notoriously corrupt Ukrainian gas company Burisma while his father was in charge of eradicating corruption in the country. Now, he's making "art" by blowing paint through a glass straw in his pool house for $500,000 a piece.

Photographer behind controversial photos speaks exclusively to KTSM

by: Natassia Paloma, KTSM, Sep 23, 2021:

EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) – The photographer behind images depicting Border Patrol agents on horseback told KTSM things are not exactly what they seem when it comes to the photos.

The photographs, which were taken Sunday, appear to show agents on horses with a whip in hand. The photos caused outrage because from certain angles, it appears to show Border Patrol whipping migrants, but photographer Paul Ratje said he and his colleagues never saw agents whipping anyone.

“Some of the Haitian men started running, trying to go around the horses,” Ratje said.
                          ADVERTISING

Ratje is a photographer based in Las Cruces and has been in Del Rio since Friday. He said took the photographs from the Mexican side.

“I’ve never seen them whip anyone,” Ratje said. “He was swinging it, but it can be misconstrued when you’re looking at the picture.”

The photos drew immense criticism from many on social media and the White House said it will investigate.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki called images “horrific.”

Vice President Kamala Harris was also asked about the photos, and called them deeply troubling. Harris also said there was a thorough investigation into how agents are treating migrants.
