I'mana have to revisit this later - I've burned a whole hour already, and sometimes the back of my head has solved this kind of problem the next day.

The other dark theme has legible PMs, btw, so maybe switch for PM action until I get it nailed?

Ugh. The Styles menu -what the current vB uses- is horrible to find anything, and you can't do much, like a proper theme. I'll go look to see if there's anything to do with PMs in there, but don't hold your breath.
