Okay, what DaIe posted was surrounded w/ whiteish shading pixels and would look awful in a dark theme. So cleaning up was in order. I also pruned out the outdated stuff about II and Greek; I've met the Greek, but ain't seen him around here. This version is also a .png, not color-indexed, and should scale better. I've saved it in layers, so rejiggering the arrangement would be agreeable.

This is the only true logo. Anything else is just a rip off and fake news.

ATTN: AAHZ. You should be able to see the pitchfork in the Dark theme now....

-Better site name. Pity.
It's fun to play w/ that format, once you work out the font, point-sizes and proportions... Someone did a brilliant job making the original - simple, elegant perfection in nothing but two colors of Times New Roman...

Y'all be sure to thank Solver - again. I didn't actually put him up to bringing back the red logo, but he knew I was trying to figure out how, and I did supply him a copy.
And you see that pretty red A in the tab replacing the loathsome vB/check symbol we've been stuck with for years? Had you noticed? If it's not showing, [ctrl]F5 is your friend. -I did crank out the A favicon and tell him to overwrite the vB file on the server...

...I've got a whole series of techs/civics loaded up in GIMP to smilie for civ6 since yesterday evening, and haven't even finished going through the avatar folder I was working from yet.
(Which brings up the frustration that the user avatar gallery appears to be a holdover from a previous version of vB, and there doesn't seem to be any way for me to get at it, add from this folder of mine full of beautiful round-cropped 150x 6 avatars, or even do anything about the gallery display sucking.)
HowEVER, that crap gallery also reminds me that I contributed a bunch of the CivII avatars, and somewhere I've got all those II images already cut out --- and II deserves a smilie gallery more than, say, BE or 5...
