You sound like a QAnon person. It's a compromise, which is better than what Trump has. So it's a win. We just have to see what the Ds do. Maybe nothing, but you don't know that.

I don't how you can claim a victory for Trump when McConnell just torpedoed Trumps will... this "compromise" bill is nothing more than a tactic against the Dems. Again, a brilliant move by McConnell because it meets HIS NEEDS, and not Trumps
He knows the bill can't pass. And that's the way he wants it. Now the Senators don't have to go on record against the increase.
Even the Senators that didn't want to increase the check can vote yes on this new one, knowing they then go on record saying they wanted to give everybody 2000 and the Dems don't. Simply brilliant.
So what again did Trump win... he gets nothing but the Repubs he's been threatening get what they wanted.

And you have to love Trumps tweet blasting at the Repubs in the Senate...
"Republican leadership only wants the path of least resistance. Our leaders (not me, of course!) are pathetic. They only know how to lose!"
This coming from somebody who lost to what he claimed was the worst candidate in history

Additionally, it would set up a commission to study voter fraud. This came after Sen. Bernie Sanders (D-Vt.) vowed to delay a vote to override President Trump’s veto of the NDAA until the Senate votes on the stimulus payments. McConnell’s bill could provide a work-around to that filibuster. Unless Republicans have a death wish, and it is also the right thing to do, they must approve the $2000 payments ASAP. $600 IS NOT ENOUGH! Also, get rid of Section 230 – Don’t let Big Tech steal our Country, and don’t let the Democrats steal the Presidential Election. Get tough! https://t.co/GMotstu7OI — Donald J. And how does Trump win here?
He was trying to look like a hero after ignoring the whole bill process, and then stepping in late and demanding the $2000
Knowing that the Senate would never pass any such thing, the Dems in the House put up the vote and passed it on to the Senate knowing that there was no way McConnell would allow making his fellow Repubs have to actually vote on it and put it on record... so he countered with a bill that has no chance of being passed either. I think McConnell is the winner here. It was a great political move because it saved not having to vote on the original issue, and put on the table something the Repubs can actually vote yes for knowing the Dems will never pass it. And there won't be 2,000 checks for Trump, or his investigation, or anything. So again, how does Trump win?

Yes. I'm familiar with that. The fatality rate was much higher with those outbreaks though.

No. It's been about the lockdowns the whole time. Go back and look at my posts.

Critics noted that the Founders had in fact followed strict measures to stifle infectious disease outbreaks based on the science of their time.

During the American Revolution, George Washington worked to contain a smallpox epidemic by isolating anyone suspected of infection and limiting outside contact with his army. In 1776, when the British withdrew from Boston, Washington mandated that only soldiers that had already been infected be allowed into the city.

In 1796, in response to a deadly yellow fever outbreak, Congress passed the first federal quarantine law, which was signed by Washington. It authorized the federal government to help states enforce quarantines as necessary.

"No health care workers in the rural communities? So be it."
This is how you demonstrate your feelings for those you claim to prefer?!?! Apparently you're good with death threats against health care workers. That's seriously sick, dude.

I seriously doubt if health care workers are leaving because of politics. If they are then so be it. Living in a rural community is a lot better than living in the city. But hey, hope you enjoy your city away from all of us.

Truth is I come from the city. I had negative expectations about rural people but they are just different. Now I preferred them to city people.

You just use logical fallacies. They didn't just save people's lives. They took people's freedom away. To you that's nothing. You accuse people that don't take freedom away the fascist, but that's what you are.

And nobody murdered anyone. You are beyond ridiculous and tiresome.

    They were compensated.

The thing is they harmed the entire country, everyone. They can't compensate people for that. Maybe China needs to pay anyway.

But in war it is justified because if the nation is conquered all the people lose everything.
