I think I called this fairly well over all. I said edge to Biden but that the polls were wildly off and that it would be much, much closer than anyone thinks. In fact the polls were off by about 9-12 points all to the benefit of the left (so the polling problem is systematic at this point) and Dems did massively worse in down ballot races. The Dems didn’t flip a single legislative body in any state, Dems in the House lost 11 seats (though they did pick up three others for a net of -8), and Dems had been claiming they’d pick up 5-7 seats in the Senate which didn’t happen. Even against Trump they could only manage a squeaker.

Dems better unscrew themselves before 2022 or they are going to have a blood bath with all the lost Congressional seats.

I remember lots of places claiming Biden has a 12 point or more lead in polls. The real numbers were less than 2 points nationally and in individual battleground states sometimes less than 0.25%.

My day before Election Day prediction is 278 Trump with Biden taking Michigan, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. Trump takes Pennsylvania, Florida, Arizona, North Carolina, and Iowa. In the end it will all come down to voter turn out so I guess we will see.

It's clear we have alot of work ahead to defend our democracy. 2016 was a wakeup call from a technological standpoint, and we rose to the task and defended the infrastructure.

2020 was a penetration test of the entire system itself. So far it has held on.

But it's scary how easily half the population can be persuaded to act against their own interests, based on nothing but lies and conspiracy theories.

This isn't a Red vs. Blue issue, this is a Democracy vs. Authoritarian issue.

The courts held up. State officials did their duty (including lots of Republicans).

You'd better believe there are lots of smart people out there taking notes. Ex-President Trump is a complete dumbass but he is the master at promotion. There's someone smarter coming along and they are the real threat.

The Democrats have a ****ty ground game. They came through in the battleground states where they needed it, but this should have been a landslide. AOC was sort of right, Democrats run elections like it's 2005, but I'd say more like 1985.

Nancy Pelosi will send out these long essay letters in the mail, hoping people will read it and it will be persuasive. It's most likely going into the trash. Meanwhile all Trump has to do is type out some lie like, "Sleepy Joe is going to steal your pets!" and BOOM he instantly reached hundreds of millions, all while taking a ****. And many people will believe him and be outraged without even bothering to spend 30 seconds to fact check. Usually people who think they are "tech savvy" because they have a Facebook account.

It was systematically democrats who raised funds for, donated to, and pandered to the rioters. Those are facts and I understand you want to avoid those facts but they are not going away.

How is a District Attorney supposed to end a riot? They have finite resources and if thousands of people are rioting they can't possibly prosecute that many people at once. Maybe you should move to China where the government can handle riots in a more efficient manner.

Seems the voting machines is the last issue. The last path to a Trump victory may be the election going to the Supreme Court. At least that's the only one I know of. So, where are the Republicans? Doubt he'll last very long, and Harris will be president. Hopefully there's a Republican Senate majority, and that loony witch doesn't get what she wants, but manages to crash and burn somehow..
