Shops, centres, professional sport - though without spectators, libraries, religious entertaintment centers (churches etc), a number of school types, cafes and restaurants etc. Though, all with distance and max 10 persons in reasonable groupings.

Technically, I could go to work but prefer to work from home despite the effect - all those nutcases that are told to stay away from public tranportation are driving like idiots and causing dangerous situations

Same here, except for the city of Buenos Aires and suburbs, where most of the cases are concentrated, the rest of the country will be slowly relaxing quarantine protocols.

CCP absolutely needs to be held accountable for their role in spreading and covering up the virus. While it’s true Trump is trying to blameshift to them, that does not absolve them from their crimes which need to be called out. You can hold Trump and Xi accountable, neither is mutually exclusive of the other and both have done a terrible job.

And don’t buy the BS propaganda coming from CCP saying any criticism coming at them is racism or picking on them. Sample any of their domestic news and it’s a nonstop xenophobic fest of blaming foreigners. Absolute hypocrisy. Their population is not allowed to speak up, so there is no criticism whatsoever without risking jail time.

This is the same group of clown that JUST LAST YEAR was trying to revoke rights from Hong Kong. The same clowns that rolled over college kids with tanks. This is what I would do, just go around them.

* Actively undermine them at every turn. Hold their accountability of being responsible for covering up the virus over their head at every single negotiation. Until they admit responsibility, all deals are off. This will make them lose face and they will hate this. It will make them squirm. It's like when US patriots start bragging about the military until you bring up Vietnam and then they just go crazy over it. Make these jerks uncomfortable and own up to what they are doing. Make it loud until they do something. They need to be lectured, otherwise they will think you are weak and chump and just walk all over you for being stupid.

* Create incentives for companies that circumvent their supply chain as Japan is doing. There is plenty of capacity in South East Asia that can beat China on both cost and especially quality. Anybody who has dealt with supply chain in China knows exactly what I am talking about. You have to have someone watch over them or they will shortchange you every single time.

* Reaffirm the global alliance between USA, EU (Brits get back innit you ****s), and Japan/Korea/Taiwan.

* USA needs to expand the alliance and build up Latin America, and not in the way that Smedly Butler and Confessions of an Economic Hitman complained about. With all the headlines about the drug violence in Mexico, the country has been a quiet success story with its consumer class growing. The United States has a much stronger bond culturally, historically, and geographically with the Americas than it does with China. Basic stuff like San Francisco is built into a shared heritage, when was the last time you ever heard of a North American city like Guangzhou? Chinese and North American culture are galaxies apart and share hardly any history or culture.

* Grant fast track immigration status for anyone with special skills migrating from PRC, Taiwan, and especially Hong Kong. Create an incentive for brain drain.

* Reaffirm the US commitment to protect alliances with core partners of Hong Kong, Taiwan, Japan, and Korea. Denounce the One China policy as expansionist and aggressive. Hands off Taiwan period.

* Start an information campaign to highlight CCP atrocities violating human rights of free speech and concentration camps. Educate the world on the Cultural Revolution and how modern China is reverting back to the thinking of Mao. CCP has no problems with criticizing the rest of the world, but has suddenly has a problem when the rest of the world criticizes them. Sorry, doesn't work anymore, they messed things up for everyone and the rest of the world has the right to demand answers.

* Stop cowering the way bedfellow apologists like Bloomberg, Lebron James, and Ivanka do every time someone criticizes CCP's bad behavior. It is their system to suppress free speech, but they have absolute no right to do that outside of their borders. This should not be tolerated period.

I would avoid direct confrontation both economically and militarily. Just quietly make them irrelevant. They're already doing it to themselves by creating a Great Firewall and becoming insular. Help them out.
