You know, I was thinking of how Dec 25 became his birthday. I can see the rationale, especially if no one actually recorded it other than vague references to taxes and a census. He rose 3 days after the crucifixion, the sun 'stands still' and it takes maybe 2-3 days for it to fully make the turn north. Cultures all over the world recognized the solstices so what better way to commemorate and celebrate Jesus. His story is written in the sky.
But I wonder what he'd think about us assigning him a birthday, I think he'd look at us and with some Asian proverb like a priest in Kung Fu tell us to act like everyday is his birthday.Comment
