this is a perfect example of why you should never compromise on democracy, even when the political flavor of the guy in charge suits you.

      I understand and I agree.
In europe, maybe unknown to venezuela itself, venezuela has become a symbol with which the (far) right wing tries to "hit" the left wing. "See what happens when left wing takes power" etc etc. Especially tsipras because he has never hidden he's left wing with admiration for chavez, the guy in Brazil etc. His son's middle name is Che for example.
So maybe the "pushback" by the left wing sometimes falls into the moral chasms of the right wing with lies and ommissions. This should be avoided, evidently.

        Yeah.
People using the current state of Venezuela as an argument against 'socialism' is really annoying, since socialism has nothing to do with the current cluster****.

          Exactly...!

BTW I'm starting to learn spanish. It has a lot of similarities with Greek, and, unbelievable but true, is faster spoken than Greek!
I learned that in some countries you pronounce the "TH" (like theta) and in some countries you pronounce the "S" (sigma).
In Madrid I think they pronounce the S but in barcelona the TH.

What do you pronounce in Argentina?!

I think it's the other way round, Madrid definitely uses th for s and z.

We use s sound for both s and z, I think pretty much the whole of Latin America does.

In Panama you routinely hear the locals whining about how there are too many Venezuelans in the country and how people blame Venezuelans for the rising crime rate.

Perhaps a new movie for Johnny Depp. Pirates of the Caribbean: the Maduro Diet
As Venezuela's economy collapses, a tide of lawlessness - and piracy - is spreading to the nearby island of Trinidad.
“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

                      • some good news is that that gaidaro whatevethehell his name is, is out of the picture for good. political rights revoked under the act of treason.

so the vultures that want to sink their teeth (or beaks) deep in venezuela, just can't.

                          • On another proof that dinner and pchang links carry the same weight of credibility as alien farts from outer space:

el pais uncovered the scandal by which the official gov of Spain had hired a con man to orchistrate so called and false scenario of funding of podemos by Venezuela.

Only elicits laughter. The official gov of a country using con men ti implicate venezuela in funding left wing parties...... Not as bad as american foreign policy, but as laughable as their propaganda at least.

They live in an alternative reality that has kids killing themselves because they were not killed by machine guns.

And they are under the illusion that they can teach things.
