    Hyperbole much?
“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

No, it really does not seem like hyperbole as he is advocating letting anyone and everyone in without restriction (well, other than a criminal record which several semi-failed states don't even keep accurate criminal records).

It is useful to show the extremes because it clearly illustrates why his policy suggestion is a bad one.

Billions of immigrants is not even possible due to lack of transportation capacity.

Not to mention that if billions of people wanted to be US citizens we could just peacefully annex much of the soon to be empty parts of Earth ...

Aeson you want an unlimited number of immigrants, many of whom can not even read Spanish, to immigrate to the US, and you don't think any are going to go on welfare?!

As I said, we need welfare reform. By that I mean everyone on welfare, and many on disability, given jobs to work.

I live in a developing country, and have worked with several people who haven’t completed grade school. They are hard working, bright, inventive, friendly, with a sense of honor, hospitality, and family. They just were never given a chance. They would invite you into their home, even if it was a 1 room bamboo hut, feed you food they can’t afford, and be too embarrassed to accept payment if you offered it.

We’re working with rather limited resources to give them a chance. I know what is involved and what is possible because I live it every day. We have the tools and knowledge required not just to eliminate poverty worldwide, but to save ourselves in the process.

Sadly Nationalists seem intent on following a path that likely will destroy the world instead.

You don't give an unlimited number "jobs." And you don't do it when they invade your land.

Unlimited has a meaning, you may want to look it up.

In any case it would be much easier to do in the US with the infrastructure and the developed economy at hand. Here I’ve had to everything from the ground up ... build the road in, water system, bring in the electric, and everything is done without ready access to modern equipment that would make getting it done all more efficient. We’re selling product into a depressed economy where prices are often 1/10th what similar products would fetch in the US.

Even with all the disadvantages of doing it here, without economies of scale, with on average less AGI than the poverty threshold in the US, Net and I have been able to help hundreds of people to various extents while building up to and maintaining something representing a middle class lifestyle for our family, and investing into land for future development.

It can be done. You fear, I do.

I'm not saying that you can't put unskilled people to work. I'm saying that you can't open the borders and promise every poor unskilled person in the world a job!

Infrastructure doesn't pay for itself like that either. That's going to take tax money. Also, you can't just start an unlimited number of infrastructure projects. Yes I know what that word means. You don't know what you are talking about. They started a bunch of infrastructure jobs after the recession. It has limited effect.

Not all at once, but certainly we can employ everyone willing to work in the long run, and the economy would improve by doing so. Humans are demonstrably net positive economically on average.

If they’re poor though, most (Asia and Africa) wouldn’t be able to make the trip so we could set the rate in that regard by who we choose to help make the trip. Whatever rate limit is necessary to allow for processing and expanding work programs (whether public, private, or a mix) can be added if necessary. But the current necessary rate limit is already well above current net immigration and we’re not even trying.

That's fine if you believe that. I don't trust Democrats to set that limit, for the same reason that I don't want them in control of my health care. They are not reasonable people, and they don't care about the country. They only care about getting elected. That's why they constantly smear people.

Personally I like talking about this stuff, but I don't like to be called names. And I'll eat a lemon before I vote for those people.

It’s not just infrastructure jobs that would be created. Obviously they will need food, sanitation, shelter. Then whatever they are going to spend their disposable wages on.

Those things require labor inputs as well. Meaning more jobs.
