AFAIK Halloween is an excuse for male kids in conservative (and/or religious fundamentalist) families to shock their parents by declaring they want to go as Black Panther or Wonder Woman

I use it as an excuse to wear black and wear black make up. Oh wait... I already do that. I love being called a Satan worshipper by uptight christians who look constipated when they talk.
For there is [another] kind of violence, slower but just as deadly, destructive as the shot or the bomb in the night. This is the violence of institutions -- indifference, inaction, and decay. This is the violence that afflicts the poor, that poisons relations between men because their skin has different colors. - Bobby Kennedy (Mindless Menance of Violence)

It’s great for selling large amounts of produce that no one in their right mind would buy otherwise.

When people see the demonic protective seal I carved in my door, I do not get many people... inturrupting me. Even on holloween.

Such is the power of a True Seal, carved by a master Shaman (me,) of REAL demon that you have a working... partnership with.

Halloween is certainly evil. It teaches Kids to blackmail their neighbours! That could be easily the first step towards a career in organized crime!

when I was a kid living in Marin County just north of San Francisco people I knew set up an elaborate haunted house every year and needed volunteers for their displays. They put a harness on me and hung me from a scaffold or hangman's gallows. I dont remember if it was technically a lynching or not.
