A curious little piece of news came out in the French press, which was picked up by a few sources but largely ignored: Amsterdam’s top police officer has warned the city in the Netherlands is incapable of dealing with rising lawlessness.

Amsterdam is one of the most liberal cities in the West, with open and free drug laws and red-light districts. That has resulted in the city becoming a den of chaos. Tourists come from all over Europe to take advantage of lax drug and prostitution laws. Many don’t respect local police, nor care about local customs, hygiene, or safety.

You can not have lawlessness and freedom. That doesn't work. Freedom is a law. The law makes us free (politically, not religiously). You can only have your statue of Satan JohnT, because of the law. But you don't believe in the law!

Less regulation for business, yes. That is a different thing than not enforcing property rights or having a general disregard for property rights. It's not the same thing as allowing people to take the law into their own hands.

I though the right is a keen supporter of taking the law into your own hands ....
which is why you find a larger percentage of 2nd amendment guys on the right than on the left
(i.e. being allowed to have weapons in order to take law into your own hands (if someone invades your home for example) instead of waiting for the police to do so)
