Good for you, Albert. I hope it works out. Make sure you have back up schools on your list just in case.

Good luck. Take northwestern over yale if you get both. My best guess is that you are probably considered too old for b school - aren't you in your 30s? They prefer mid 20s; the likelihood of getting somebody who has a top tier career ahead of them is higher, which will perpetuate their brand. Also, they like the stats on % increase in pay post MBA, so they would love a high performing 25 year old in banking or the corp sector making 150 a year who can walk into a PE job making 300.

Some good points KH. However, Northwestern is probably more likely than Yale to accept an older student. They recruit heavily in the Chicago market for the older (30's) crowd.

I was invited to interview at Haas (UC-Berkeley), as well. So Kellogg next Monday, Yale next Friday, and Haas in late February.

Booth (UChicago) is releasing interview invites this week as well, so hopefully I get good news by Friday.

I'm relieved that after no interviews at HBS, Columbia, Wharton, or Stanford, I'm at least getting interviews here in Rd2.

Just got my interview invite for UChicago Booth. Looks like I'll be going to Chi-town on Sunday and again a couple weeks later.

What a turn-around! No interviews at 4 of 5 schools in Rd1 (and a ding post-interview at the last), but now batting 4 for 4 so far in Rd2!

Any rhyme or reason to this? Booth is an HBS/Stanford/Wharton peer and Rd2 is supposed to be a bit more competitive.

Just got my interview invite at Duke Fuqua. That's 5 for 5 so far in Rd2. Waiting to hear from only NYU. Still need to get an admittance, but it's encouraging so far.
