Retiring generally isn't racist. Twisting facts to blame immigrants for something that has little to nothing to do with immigrants is definitely xenophobic and very well may be racist. Sweden's retirement funding is based largely off of work history. Even the means tested "guaranteed" part requires residency for 40 years.

If you think politicians are raising the minimum retirement age now in regards to something that might happen in 40 years, you're an idiot. (Especially since in 40 years there's a very good chance that retirement as we know it won't be a very common thing. Instead most of us will be retired from birth because the robots "tuk r jerbs"!)

You're a moron. If there's still necessary jobs to do in Sweden in 40 years, immigration will almost certainly be a positive factor on government income and the ability to fund pensions given trends in population growth and fertility rates.

The pension system is not robbed to pay for immigration, and the recent immigration won't impact the pension system for 40 years. Because for someone to draw a pension they have to have at minimum been a resident for 40 years. To draw a full pension they need to have also worked and paid into the system for decades.

Well they have to collect taxes for now to pay for these immigrants to come and live, many for free from the socialist system. The unemployment rate is very high. They aren't contributing as a whole. As a whole they are a net drain. 40 years is a long time for now. Imo, socialist systems collapse by then, and that is my prediction for all of the socialist countries in Europe. But they won't last 40 years. Only 20-25 years for Sweden.

Expected lifespans have been steadily on the rise in Sweden (+10 years over the last 50) while fertility rates are declining. Sweden's demographic problem isn't too many immigrants, it's too many older people, not enough younger ones. Immigration is actually one way to help fix that.

This is just about the worst policy imaginable and if they must have workers (which I disagree with as they can get them from the EU) then something like the H1B visa program would be a massive improvement as they are skilled and actually employable. Instead they have a bunch of worthless 3rd world economic migrants, not real refugees, very few of whom will ever work much less actually support themselves so they will just suck up welfare while commiting lots of crime.

Immigration actually helps when you have an old population with low fertility. It is helping Sweden economically. Debt to GDP has fallen over the last decade, GDP is up. Unemployment is down. Immigration is up. Even the tax rate is down since 1996's high.

Why is overall unemployment down in Sweden? Why is Debt to GDP down in Sweden? Why is the tax rate down in Sweden? Why are life expectancies up? Why are incomes up?

Sweden has one of the oldest populations, it has a negative population growth fertility. They either have to have immigration or start making more babies.
