  • If Trump saying, "I don't stand by anything." is fake, then all of his contradictory statements are true, at least to him.

    • Well Obama gets paid 400K now for giving speeches and he still accuses others of being greedy. They keep asking Trump if he stands by his "sick and bad" accusation.

Maybe he thought "stand-by", as in putting something on hold. He's not one to take the time to think things through before acting/talking, after all.

It's been 100 days. These people obviously need some meds or maybe shock therapy.

            • Fake News - Obama death panels! Real news - pay or die Trumpcare! Those crazy US polls suggest that Americans no longer love Trump - even suggesting Obamacare is more popular than the greatest president since Andrew Jackson! Come on, Fox and Friends... praise 45!!

Well, at least the first half is done ... in order to enable darwinian evolution on the US population ... letting only those survive who have a strong enough immune system/health ... or are wealthy enough to afford medicinal support

                      • Dunno what you mean wih your Venezuela comment

It is rather Trumps history of bigmouthery and deceiving people which makes me think of that.
Likewise his first draft of a new healthcare system (which would have left those out in the rain who were older than ~30 and/or had preconditions, and/or were poor)

The fact that this second draft got through the congress without it having been accessible to the congressmen for more than 3 hours (and without it having been thoroughly checked for its financial susceptibility) also doesn't let me believe that the 2nd draft is more trustworthy than the first one
(but I guess there are no big chances that the draft gets through the senate, exactly for these reasons )

                        • They were elected to repeal Obamacare. Which are more deceptive?

FYI: Venezuela is a socialist disaster.

I would assume that the republicans in the congress were elected for a multitude or reasons.
Some ppeople may have voted republican because they "always vote republican", some because they especially trusted this certain congressman over its democrat competitor (to stannd in for their interests) ... some may have voted for their GOP conresman because he shares the same anti LGBT sentiments as oneself .. or because he is in ones home parish ... and yes, some actually may have voted for their GOP congressman because they actually want to have Obamacare repealed.

The question is, how many (in percent) voters of GOP congressmen actually wannted to have Obamacare repealed/replaced.
The other question is, how many voters of GOP congressmen wanted to have Obmacare replaced by a half baked bill, that was not cored and for which the congressmen had only 3 hours to read (and of which many admitted not reading it in full) before having to vote on it.
(and how many voter wanted, instead, that their GOP congressman only votes on a repeal bill that, even after scoring and ample time for analysis (before voting on it), proves to be better than Obamacare)

Of course there are better examples of functoning healthcare ... germany for example

                            • The problem with repealing Obamacare is that the people elected Congress to eliminate Obamacare but leave the ACA in place (sine Obamacare is bad but ACA is good).

The Republicans courted the moron vote and got it. Hell, they got the heir to the throne of the Kingdom of Morons elected president. Now they have to live with that.
The dogmas of the quiet past, are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty…we will be remembered in spite of ourselves… The fiery trial through which we pass, will light us down, in honor or dishonor, to the last generation… We shall nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope of earth.

With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.
