US is finally getting a proper right wing government.

Republicans in the White House, Senate, Congress and with supreme court justices to nominate.

Time to sit back and watch them fully unleash the business on the environment, deregulate finance, telecoms, foreign policy bravado, energy - drill baby drill, LGBT, minority issues, abortion rights, censorship, and so on...

Will be interesting to observe how stable will such unchecked power be.

They aren't totally unchecked and the 2018 midterms will be here in no time.

I've seen it in Wisconsin with Walker. Employment and the economy tanked; but them rich people were happy!

So any guesses on the unemployment level by 2020? I think 10% nationally and 15-20% in the Midwest. Hopefully very high for Midwest states. They deserve it.

Actually, it's the opposite. Baltics and Ukraine wil be ****ed by cessation of business with Russia that they hate so much. I think we already transferred a significant percent of traffic from Baltic ports to our own ports. And Baltics already destroyed last remains of USSR legacy like industry and other remanants of socialism.

And last remains of relatively high-tech Ukrainian industry (whatever they have not destroyed yet after the fall of USSR), together with the most skilled population (the most important part, usually factories and laboratories actually stay in Ukraine, it's the people who move), is being relocated to Russia as well.

And then we'll live happily ever after - Russia by itself, and haters of Russia by themselves, without any direct or indirect Russian subsidies.

Why do you think he'll bomb more than Clinton, anyway? Clinton started several wars when she was in power. It will be hard to beat Clinton's achievements.

And Trump needs to cut at least some spending somewhere. I guess he can't cut social spending too much (other than axing obamacare), and there are only two biggest money sinkholes - social spending and military spending. So the logical idea is that Trump will cut military spending. After all, military-industrial complex universally supported Clinton, so it's a logical thing to cut the rope supporting Trump's political enemies, which also happens to be one of the biggest budget black holes.

Of course, politics is rarely about logic. And i don't know much about US politics anyway...

Trump wanted to expand military spending big time.

Why doesn't Russia cut military spending?

Bulgaria complained that they had a very large scale cyber attack on them when it was elections time (and it did mess up their elections a bit) and NATO told them it was you.

Actually, i checked it today - he said that he wants to cut, expand and keep it on the same level. So i guess it will be hard to call him a liar - one of the three will happen for sure

Anyway, if he plans to do something with US economy, he needs to get these money somewhere. And Military-Industrial complex is the Hawks/Clinton domain. Given that they live on budget, it's logical to axe them.

He isn't going to cut the military budget. Want to know why? The budget comes from the House and the GOP itself comes with the package. The GOP is deeper in the pockets of the military industrial complex than Hillary ever was. They wanted to put a useless second engine on the F-35 for crying out loud.

House GOP members are the same ones who put up a hissy fit about Obama selling Afghanistan those Brazilian Super Tucanos instead of American air craft.

You don't seem to get how government "works" here. The President isn't the dictator nor does he write the budget. That comes from the House. And believe me they will keep the budget where it is at if not increase it.

And because of NATO? Your GDP is in a free fall yet you increase military spending by raiding the reserves of the country. Not smart.

By the way, if Trump does try something against Congress... They could always override his veto. Some democrats would hop on board and its game over.

The above is one way Donald could lose a lot of popularity and see his government fall into disfunction.

Well, fine. I'm not sure why Trump promised something about it though...

Well, as usual Russia is not ready for the next war, so we're frantically trying to rearm and reorganize before it's too late... It kinda cost us much more than just money reserves before. In WW2 we lost tens of millions of people, you know.

If this time we'll lose only money reserves, i call it a win.
