Transaphobe must be what liberals call not wanting weird men in the same restroom with your daughter.

It rather means that humans that look like women have to go to mens restrooms and humans that look like men have to go to womens restrooms (because, yes, there also are female -> male transgenders).
So, if you don't want "weird men" to go to your daughters restroom, maybe it is a good thing to oppose bathroom bills ... else "weird men" may actually be forced by law to use the same restroom as your daugther

Well, it isn't the issue that it was a transgender vs. a cisgender.
It is rather the issue that Marshall (i.e. the republican cisgender candidate) during his time in office cared more about bathroom bills and forcing women to have transvaginal ultrasounds, than actually doing something that helps the district that voted him into office (for example taking care that Route 28 gets fixed)

It is also an issue that it actually was Marshall, who tried to turn his election cempaign into an "transgender vs. cisgender issue", whereas Danica Roem (i.e. his democratic transgender competitor) concentrated her election campaign on promising to fight for things that actually help people in the district (like fixing Route 28, better teachers pay, expansion of Medicaid)

There are stupid,bad republicans, but we can't ignore the fact that we are engaged in culture war, and radical leftist, unamerican ideology is driving it. Maybe the Democrat is a better candidate but he is still transgender, and I don't believe that's coincidental

On a sidenote:
Interims results of the election tuesday:
Virginia:
Democrats won election for Governor, Lieutenant governor, Attorney general.
Also they won 14 seats from the Republican in the House of Delegates, turning the previous republican majority in a small democratic one (with 48:47 seats)
(but AFAIK 5 seats are still undecided)

New Jersey:
Democrats won election for governor, as expected

New York:
Democrats victory, as expected

Washington (special election for State Senat, 45. District):
Democrats took this seat from the Republicans

Utah (special election 3rd district)
Was won by the republicans, but that was expected

Also Maine voted for an expansion of Medicaid and Ohio voted (with large majority) against a spending cut on drugs programs


I am sure that no no liberals should feel bad about this tuesday.
(Maybe they actually should feel thankful that Trump was elected one year ago ... because it is doubtful if tuesdays successes for the democrats would have been possible without Trump being in power )

I don't actually hate liberals, just bad people, many of which are liberals.
