The majoritxy of the Asteroids is much much much smaller than Ceres
Look at that equation for angular momentum. It varies in proportion with mass, but also with the size of the orbit and the orbital speed.

The amount of value within the asteroid is proportionate to the Volume, not the mass, which means bigger things have a better ratio.

That Ceres isn't enough, means that smaller asteroids, as they would have a higher angular momentum to volume ratio would be an even worse deal.

But there simply isn't grazing room on earth for all the cows we'd need for everyone to eat steaks and burgers at the rate we do. And food production is only going to become more problematic as climate change causes erratic droughts and storms and changes where things can be grown.
Population pressures are actually going to turn negative fairly soon - which has much more and much more drastic economic consequences for human society in general. There are many occupations right now stateside where there are more retirees than there are workers on pension plans.

There simply aren't enough people of the right working ages and of the right qualifications to fill these positions.

Basically if you can keep your **** together, not get wasted every weekend, and work reasonably well, you'll be able to name your ticket.

You guys have no imagination. We are closer to having self replicating nano machines than you think.

            We already have self-replicating macro-machines.

              As a kid I would have loved self-replicating micro-machines.

We are large bunches of self replicating micro machines who like to stick together.

                      It shoots micro machines!
