really? so just taking one of those at random, since you obviously know what all these various companies do, please justify privatising the Hospital de Clínicas de Porto Alegre and explain how such a move will benefit the brazilian taxpayer.
step one: corrupt government sells off hospital at bargain price
step two: new owner liquidates everything, closes down hospital
step three: without medical care, the poor die off, now brazil has fewer poor people

Thats it, Gribbler. You crossed the line. It's time for a flame-war.

Gribbler vs AAHZ. Fight to the finish. No mercy. It's on like Donkey Kong, Gribbler. DONKEY KONG. I'll even let you go first.

I'm listening to boom by POD extra loud with extra bass. I hope the neighborhoods are understanding.
It's summer and it's vacations plus I'm a "nice guy".

            Now in judo.

Which keeps me intrigued. If someone showed the middle finger instead of bowing, would he get disqualified?

The gov teared down the very modest place the gold medal winner was training in a small remote town in nother greece and is building a shining new one.

What sort of bull**** is that?

Leave it it is a testament of perseverence ffs

            oh next song

              Oh, please.

Privately owned hospitals are usually more efficient, private companies can run hospitals just fine, and as the workers are not government employees taxpayers don't have to pay for their salaries or pensions. Now justify the government owning a paper company and a steel mill. They are going to be centers of corruption, abuse, and mismanagement just like the state owned oil company.

Reduce the opportunities for corruption and you will get less corruption.

Oh please. No they aren't. They have all sorts of strikes for low pay (Kaiser anyone?) and have far many more problems than public hospitals. You may not pay for their wages or salaries in private hospitals, but good luck even getting treatment without being driven to bankruptcy.

Oh and privately run hospitals can be poorly run and just as corrupt. Profit is the priority. Not actually providing quality care.

The current crisis started after deregulating the hell out of derivatives and banking/financial functions.

Reducing corruption and streamlining is a noble goal.
Blind privitizations is simply moronic. And we aren't even talking about health care. One gets extra stupidity points for even thinking about it

The costs at private care are exuberant. I know someone who was charged $800 for just sitting in a waiting room at a private hospital and another $1,000 for the care itself (which wasn't for anything major).

a relative went and just did a wide array of tests all with latest tech and equipment just like that at first degree health care.
                        cost: 0 euros.

despite the dire straights Greece is financially.

Proffesizing against universal health care is nothing sort of a death wish for your compatriots. It's sad.

Streamlining, cutting excess and corruption is noble as is having special deals with certain private clinics to aleviate the burden on public infastructure.
                        And that's it

Much of Europe has privately run health care providers. Yes, you can indeed have national insurance but private care providers. Look it up. I suggest looking at France and The Netherlands if you thonk it is impossible.

Just to be clear in this thread (and the other thread abput Rio) we have Fez claiming that trade some how makes everyone poorer and we have pickles saying it is impossible to have universal care with private healthcare providers.

That is how far off the rails you two are.

Much of Europe is covered by effective public health care systems that have lower costs that the US. You don't know anything about Europe apparently. Private care providers are only for the rich in Europe. Ridiculously expensive and it is debatable if they are any better than public hospitals.

You just say privatize everything. Such a horrible dystopia that would be.

You lost your marbles. I ask that you call me by my real name. You don't know anything about Brazil or Europe. Your solutions are worse than the problems. I said trade is fine, but you just want to exploit smaller countries for the gain of the rich. When Trump brought up fair trade the idiot didn't even know what it means.
