First, you have Obama in power who wouldn't mind arming a former NATO Turkic Islamic dictatorship under Erdogan. That's seriously his wet dream.

Second, the Nukes will protect him against Putin and would instantly jump Turkey into a player.

So long as Obama is in charge, it's a win/win situation for Erdogan.

Yes, but saidly, that happened way back in 2001. He just never recoverwd.

On topic Erdogan has purged over 50,000 people virtually all of whom had nothing to do with the half baked coup. He is purging school teachers, university professors, judges, civil servants, members of the police, members of the state owned media, individual business owners who have ever donated to the opposition, opposition politicians, and basically anyone and everyone who is not a yesman for Erdogan. In Turkey we have someone who was democratically elected but who has slowly turned his position into a dictatorship.

You don't have any clue what you are talking about. I thought you were ignorant on various topics, but your rant on Obama is just stupid. It is typical Fox News drivel that has no real basis. How do you justify these tirades? Nothing more than Obama derangement syndrome fed by an acceptance of idiot fear mongering from republicans. Maybe you should try to have some independent thoughts for a change. This "Obama loves Muslim fundamentalists" crap is getting old.

Given that it is trump who has explicitly stated his admiration for Erdogan, and Obama's administration that has repeatedly called for Erdogan to walk back on some of his policies, I can only attribute BK's ben in this thread to the simple pleasure he derives from benning, no matter how unsupported the ben is, or how far it is from the manifest truth.
The dogmas of the quiet past, are inadequate to the stormy present. The occasion is piled high with difficulty…we will be remembered in spite of ourselves… The fiery trial through which we pass, will light us down, in honor or dishonor, to the last generation… We shall nobly save, or meanly lose, the last best hope of earth.

For some, strongman rule is the new democracy. I guess Putin is some kind of a trend-setter.

Turkey's options: islamic dicatorship or military dictatorship.

                      Better for Greece: islamic dictatorship

                            about what happened, it's simple.

There is a civil war coming to turkey and the only way to stop it from going full fledged it's a complete islamic dictatorship.
Even if the civil war doesn't happen full scale, turkey will be a divided country for decades and completely dysfunctional in all areas (democratic is just a minor slip, it never was democratic). Most importantly militarily dysfunctional.

Greece can even afford to shoot down turkish planes like flies now. For kicks.

The coup was what has always been. The kemalists.
Giulen is simply an islamic priest funding islamic schools and ****. Like erdogan but more "political" of going about the islamic revolution.

Which is exactly what has happened.

Expect to see large masses of dissidents (mainly democratic men of letters fleeing in other countries in the very near future. It has already started to happen)

I suppose the muricans will feel happy they will not be the only third worlders with the death penalty though.
                            So there's that

Dufus, this way they were imideately protected. And they can apply for political asylym which I think they do plan to do.

Political asylum is completely within their legal rights as turkey is an orient express of torture right now.

The gov. doesn't really give a **** about turkey, so they'll propably keep them here for some time. Unless they can be traded off for something else.

Of course it would be better if Greece is not left alone to declare Turkey an unsafe country, and others join her in doing so (EU *****). Fat chance.

Otherwise, sooner or later they will be handed over to be tortured

Hitler was a great admirer of Ataturk.

German nazi personel was in turkey to "instruct" them about the young turks revolution (basically nazism - oriental flavour - but hey, who wasn't))

Now the germans want to distance themselves from that, turks don't give a ****

also germans are slaves of that peculiar western PC lollipop. This makes them blind to some aspects vis a vis turkey.
Also they don't have the experience to handle this crap.
