It was that simple just say no to the EU, you're ****ed.

I've been wondering about what the iclenad PM had said. That europe is in no way a democratic legacy story.

Iceland (because of the beards) was a constant parliamentary democracy when europe was plunged in nazism, dictatorship and **** like that.

And then it dawned on me. Why shouldn't we be like iceland.

Why shouldn't we say **** you all, negate 100% on the debt, get out, **** you.

Is greek democracy so fragile?

I don't think so.

I think it's two fold.

First,
its the lapse road. We are condisioned to think that we lag behind. 400 of Ottoman rule have de-regulated us from Europe. We are closer to syria than amsterdam. We need the wagon of europe for whatever we do.

There is some truth to that.


Buuuut you know whhat?

we are not western atlantic europe. It's a ****ing good thing we are not


the second thing is geopolitical realism.

We are at the balkans. europe's most unstable region and the cheery start of world wars. We're cool, but we're in the balkans.

Aaaaands we know what that means. Weakness is not tolerated. Isolation is not tolerated,.

I mean let's say we start a balkan confederacy.
with whom?

the turks are left in the middle ages, we can't possibly connect.

plus, let's say **** germany.


but why?
they are democratic, they are a bit cold ass but what are we going to do?

have a lax economy and marry the turks and the balkans and adopt their medeival morals?

we can't possibly match up with the german productivity and hell if anyone wants to.

I mean, if the turks would adopt western norms it would be great.
Democracies usually don't fight eachother.

But instead of moving forward, they're moving backwards.

And the germans are too hung up on "competing on the world stage" and **** like that.

we don't need to prove anything. just lay back and relax.

greece needs to invest on knowledge society lest in a few decades all its children will leave and the old people would be left back to look after hotels


first, i think it's case of justice.

justice doesn't exist here.

we can't have colonial contracts with foreign mining companies and ****

but greece has huge potential. can easily overtake nearly everyone if some basic things are put in place

luckily we resemble italy and france quite a lot (without the tax evasion) so I guess we're in

Now there's the more pressing matter of where should i go vacations with the SO?

should i go to the mainland? it's cheaper but I'll have to drive the car and those aren't real vacations


or should I go to the islands that are more expensive (but affordable) and just go walking wherever we want
