What is needed now is some firm leadership to calm markets but that doesn't look like it will happen as there are already calls for Cameron to resign. If the EU stops being idiots and actually agreed to more concessions this wouldn't have happened. Pretty much and northern Ireland too. The best hope is to get a renegotiation with the EU which maintains some form of membership but which allows for things like blocking welfare for noncitizens until they have paid in first for a set amount of time. That would solve a lot of the problems.
