            • that map is rather inaccurate in terms of both territory and time. the historical analysis is as terrible as one might expect.

              • If we're going to count the Ottoman Empire as "jihad" shouldn't we count all of the Christian empires that conquered the Aztecs, Incas, India, etc. as "crusades"?

                  • If we're going to count the Ottoman Empire as "jihad" shouldn't we count all of the Christian empires that conquered the Aztecs, Incas, India, etc. as "crusades"?
                    Did you miss the part where they rolled over Constantinople, the same place that Islam tried to conquer for 700 years!

                          The Catholics? Yes good point, it most certainly was the Catholics who stabbed their fellow Christians in the back and after an ogry of bloodletting and theft in Constantinople left the city so weakened that the Ottomans were able to finally conquer it. Glad to see you supporting some actual history for once.

                            No. It doesn't surprise me that you don't get the point. Hint: The Muslim conquests of Western Africa and Asia aren't included either.
