If Turkey wanted war in Syria, they would have it and not much Russia could do to stop them. It seems obvious that Russia should both respect their request about their airspace and pay heed to what Turkey is saying about bombing Turkmen civilians.

At this time all Turkish M60A3 tanks have been upgraded by Israeli companies to Sabra tanks. It is an upgrade of an old design but it is a much more capable design and they have plenty of them. It was a way for the Turks to get a lot of bang for their buck. The 120mm smooth bore gun and reactive armor along with the automated targeting and fire systems really improved those tanks fire power as well as survivability. They also have a lot of (older but upgraded) APCs, arty, and armored jeep like vehicles. It would cost them but if Vladimir wants to push them then they could take Syria just by shear numbers.
