It was racist. The statistics themselves are fundamentally racist, as they delineate between segments of the population based on race rather than applicable factors.

What he said is true, he's talking about odds, likelihood. He's not talking about this thug murdering church-goers in Charleston. No where did Ben say black people are violent. It seems people look for the slightest thing Ben does to feign outrage over. rah even started a thread for those people to congregate and talk about how addicted they were to reading Ben's latest musings. The statement of his being bandied about as justification for his ban makes the 6 month ban appear to be an absurdly extreme reaction. Was all the truly bad stuff deleted?

Don't blame us for other people's problems, and the problem isn't the guns in the first place. Fairfax County, where I live, is ****ing LOADED with guns and we have around 10, maybe fewer murders a year in a population of over 1 million. Monroe County NY, where I used to live, similarly has ****loads of gun owners and not that much crime (more than Fairfax, ironically; it has much more stringent gun control).

Holy ****! You actually think 10 gun murders per million people is actually a GOOD statistic!!!?

It's time to ban a certain hate-filled flag
Realize most Americans don't care and not give into a typical liberal impulse to be seen doing something even if the something in question has nothing at all to do with the incident in question.

I will grant you that it is true that Dylann Root did not personally impale each of the nine people he killed with the confederate flag, if that's what you mean?

I don't care what you do in your backyard in MS, or wherever it is you call home nowadays, you can fly a dozen in a swastika shape for all I care.

However, Confederate flag should finally be removed from all official use, as its tarnished status represents a rallying point for racists in the southern US states and is therefore an open sore in race relations in these states.

Surely, if you care about improving race relations in your country, you would agree? Christ, even HC at least partially gets it!
