it is silly that people today base their opinions on the rightfulness of gun ownership based upon the intent of the authors of a legal document written over 200 years ago... I'm not going to listen to anything such a person has to say or think on the subject.

I like to say things on facebook that I don't say at work. Of course you could just get an account for work, but I know some people who quit facebook because their boss said something about what they were posting. I don't think they should monitor their employees when they are not at work.

Exactly. That's the problem in Chicago. It's not poverty - it's not population density. It's not guns. It's the culture of one specific subset of the population that prefers to engage in violence. The biggest victims aren't white folks, or even black folks from white folks - but other black folks! A black man has far more to fear from another black person than they do from any white person. Far more likely to be assaulted, killed, etc.
