Alright, this is stupid. The man's last name was Bangays and he was locally something of a famous man so the road was named after him to comemorate his life and service. There is nothing wrong with that even if some outsiders think it sounds like "ban gays". This reminds me of the NAACP getting all upset over someone using the word niggardly because it sounds like that other n word. The only problem is niggardly has been used in the English language since the middle ages and is originally from mideval Norwegian so it has nothing to do with that southern American word invented half a millenia later.Try http://wordforge.net/index.php for discussion and debate. -
