“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

So you don't believe in a fair economic system but you are religious, and you don't mind people calling a tax fair, even though it's not?Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

No. I've been working poor most of my life. You're spreading misinformation, not to mention the fact that families get the EIC. I used to prepare taxes btw.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

So why would you bother working toward getting a raise? Your plan would make people take home less money after they got a raise past the threshold. This is already happening with Obamacare.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

who could possibly argue with that airtight reasoning."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

Atheists shouldn't have to pay taxes. If 0% is enough for God, it's enough for the state.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

The problem with your reasoning is that you are an atheist as well, for all the gods you don't believe in. In fact, you and I agree on the non-existance of millions and millions of gods. There may be one god whose existence we disagree on, but that's less than one-one-thousandth of a percent of the number we do agree on. So, you are 99.999+% atheist yourself.Last edited by Ben Kenobi; June 14, 2015, 23:38.Scouse Git (2) La Fayette Adam Smith Solomwi and Loinburger will not be forgotten.

Then again, if a state would have been able to have a 10% tax for their leisure and do absolutely nothing to the population, then i guess they would have been happy with a 10% tax too.Knowledge is Power
