Kid, you seem surprised that I'd keep going to a church where the people there were so rude.

Define rude. I said you might prefer a black church if you were black because then you wouldn't have to be offended by prejudice white people, and there's nothing wrong with that. We have some black people at my church. A friend of mine also left my church because he said people were prejudice. He now goes to a church where most people are black.

I had a friend interpreting the sermon for me. That the objected to and made some rather rude comments.

I can see that, but there were some other troubling things there as well that made me pause, theologywise. Been chewing on it for awhile. I had to think of a congregation that was even close to it, and really couldn't do it. Most every congregration has been pretty mixed, unless they are just starting out, or founded for a very small community that tends to police itself language wise. (not many non Russians).

This was a bit perplexing for me. Only conclusion I could draw is that it was a relic of segregation, but that's speculation. The neighbourhood wasn't really reflective, so I concluded that the community was doing some recruiting through word of mouth.

I don't know. Not being American I didn't really want to start asking these questions.

You don't have to believe what the wackos do to go to the church. She now comforts terminally ill patients and their families which is her true calling I think.
