It just seems very disingenuous for you to try to justify (what others call) injustices in the world when all it really boils down to is that god gets to do whatever he wants and you worship him because he's powerful.Originally posted by Kidicious View PostOk then God is powerful.

Helping all the sick ones that he ignored also.If God helped all the starving children then what good would you have to do?
It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple

I believe that even if they thought that god ordered them to murder somebody then they should conclude that the order was clearly immoral and hence couldn't have come from god - therefore "god told me to do it" is never a justification for an immoral action. However, I would have expected you to empathize with the suicide bombers since you too would commit murder for god.Originally posted by Kidicious View PostIf they were then fine. I suspect you're about to reply that god defines morality, but that's a completely useless definition of morality. How the hell are you supposed to use that definition to discern right from wrong in all (or even most/some) situations? It's also a completely self-centered definition of morality, because your only concern is seeking reward and avoiding punishment - the only reason you're worshiping god and not satan is because god's got the better carrot / bigger stick. It's a definition of morality that was dreamed up by a narcissist.Last edited by loinburger; May 11, 2015, 16:44.<p style="font-size:1024px">HTML is disabled in signatures

No. I don't worship Satan because he's evil, not because he isn't powerful. I'm just saying he's evil, and a loser.Originally posted by loinburger View PostBy acting immorally
