Got it, God is going to tell us to judge creatures that don't have the capacity to make choices. This all makes so much sense.

Remember, God is the final arbiter of morality too.

So if god told you to kill your family then you would, but if satan told you to kill your family then you would not. Why? What if they both told you to kill your family - what would you do?

In other words, how do you determine the difference between good and evil - what makes god good and satan evil? You'd previously said that god was good because he's powerful, now you're implying something different.

What does it matter if they can choose or not?

God is the creator. Why is that good? Because I believe that it is.

Now let's say that God did tell me to kill my family (and I knew it were God). That would cause me a great deal of anxiety because I also believe killing your family is evil. But this is all hypothetical, because in the case of Abraham, there is clearly a good reason, and the fact is he didn't have to kill his family.

How is it fair to judge someone for doing something they couldn't have chosen not to do?

If they're evil then they should be judged evil (demons). Angels are good though, so I don't understand the problem.

Killing a priest to become a priest? Not sure I remember that in the Catechism, but does fit in with the rest of the religion.

The problem is that intent / choice is a fundamental part of any non-retarded system of morality

                      • The angels are not capable of being offended so no harm is done.

But ... Satan uisually is seen as an angel who rebelled against god.

So it seems like angels have a choice.

Either this, or God is Satan, as Satan was fully under control of god as he rebelled against god (i.e. god made him rebel against himself) and probably still is under gods control.
Which also means that god fully is responsible for all the good and all the evil in the world

Yes, Satan is the same as the demons. He doesn't really choose.
