I would defend to their death their right to free speech.

Is that your answer the the OP? If so, stop lying.
The question was, "would I defend to the death?" My answer would be yes. Do you care to test my conviction on this in choosing to relocate to pursue my profession given curriculum changes in Canada?

If I'm willing to do that - why wouldn't I be willing to die for it?

As to the OP, I'd like to say yes, but probably not. I won't even complain to the BBB about the painters who left without putting all my storm windows back up.

I will defend their right to death

                But that's about it

And my "defense" just involves smoking blunts and not doing anything

I love Ben equating moving to Texas with willingness to die. Exquisite self-pwnage.

i could give a mocking look and roll my eyes in a way that would make the other person feel like sh!t.

Also, your move to texas was 100% self-serving. The thread mentions someone else's. From what you say, when faced with what you believed to be an affront to free speech, rather than defend the right to the death, you moved somewhere else where it stopped affecting you.

That's like a german who fled the Nazis and went to Mexico claiming he would oppose the Nazis to the death.

Ben Kenobi has a lot of unwarranted self-importance
