Did anyone else read the personality scale and see "more thrusting" instead of more trusting?“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”
― C.S. Lewis, The Abolition of Man

I just got married in October to a wonderful woman I met on OKCupid. Keep at it, folks!
My strategy (may not work for everyone) is that I put up an overly honest, very lengthy, and detailed profile. I decided I was tired of getting into relationships with girls whose basic values and life priorities were very much off from me. We might be attracted to each other and have chemistry, but if those big picture things were off then it would ultimately be a dead end anyhow. So while a lot of women were turned off by the long, quirky profile, it drew in the only woman who mattered. My wife!Captain of Team Apolyton - ISDG 2012

Totally this!
I was stalking Match.com as a lurker when I happened across a 'perfect' profile and pounced! I almost ****ed it up as I barely had a profile of my own and my hastily added picture was still waiting to be approved meaning that it caused some kind of error with my message - thankfully she was still intrigued enough to reply.
She moved in after a year and we're fast approaching 18 months together - yes, she's pretty perfect!"Aha, you must have supported the Iraq war and wear underpants made out of firearms, just like every other American!" Loinburger

Feeling the old man bit today.
I want to say, in the old days we didn't have all this on-line dating stuff and had to go out and bag our women the old fashion way, by going out to many locations to search for them.
You kids have it easy.
And get off my lawn. It's almost as if all his overconfident, absolutist assertions were spoonfed to him by a trusted website or subreddit. Sheeple
