I feel you, rah. We had the bar/party scene, the work scene, the (rarely used) church scene, and the random meeting approach (grocery store, public transport, etc). Plus set-ups by friends. Tough sledding.

My best friend sent me nude pictures of herself while I was dating other women, claimed to be in love with me in a platonic sense, told me we were something more than just friends and that she was jealous of what I had with the women I was dating, and repeatedly declined to pursue a romantic relationship with me when given the opportunity.

This doesn't sound like best friend behavior. Unless you take it to mean that friend is a synonym of "saboteur"

Feeling the old man bit today.
I want to say, in the old days we didn't have all this on-line dating stuff and had to go out and bag our women the old fashion way, by going out to many locations to search for them.

You kids have it easy.

My wife almost quite literally fell into my lap at work. I feel old but I'm younger than Sava! My wife is younger than Sava!

I'm not sure if I mentioned this, but I paid for a 6 month subscription. In addition, I paid even more to upgrade that (apparently when you do this, your messages get sent to the top). In addition to THAT, I'm actively using the "boosts". So whatever successes I have, I credit to all of this.

It sucks, but OKC just isn't the site it was. Sure, you can have a profile up for a long time. Maybe someone will see it. If you actively update, stuff gets put on others' news feed or whatever.

But yeah. If you want to get the most out of it, you gotta pay for it.

All in all, it is about what I would've expected to pay for two nice dates. If I can find my wife by doing this, it will be worth it.

Before I first started using "OKC", I had the same sort of reaction. I remember being on reddit and seeing it thrown around left and right. It took me longer than I want to admit to realize they weren't talking about Oklahoma City.
