Doc, Russia has been using equipment which is a generation newer including T-90 tanks. The Ukrainians have said their two biggest needs are drones and anti-tank missiles. They say Russia has made extensive use of drones so they have real time info of what the battlefield looks like while Ukrainians don't have that so they would like the Americans to give them that ability.

We don't have enough drones either.

Are you denying that Putin has spent big money since 2000 modernizing his forces, that the Ukraine was corrupt, or that the current government has had a major anti-corruption drive even having ministers arrested live on TV? Most of their equipMent is 30 years b old while their b ullets and shells were made in WW2. Give them the new stuff and watch Russian loses quadruple. Give the anti-craft misses to shoot down Russian drowns and anti-tank missiles to kill Russian tabks. Suddenly it will be a new ear and Putin won't be so eager to fight it.

I am basing that one a BBC news clip which had Ukrainian soldiers saying the ammo they have says it was made during WW2. A quick search of wiki says the Soviets produced huge amounts of it in WW2 so their claim sounds believable to me.

Supposedly even the Russian Tsarist Empire started using it in 1891 with the Nagant rifle which the Soviets continued using all through WW2.
