Most of them are not refugees and if Germany wants to be repopulate why not stop blocking immigration from EU members in the East? They will have a hell of a lot fewer problems than with their current poorly thought out policy.

Actually Stalin forced it on them and when they tried to change things (Hungary, 1956) (Czechoslovakia, 1968) they were crushed by Soviet tanks. Eventually when the Soviets were weak they overthrew Communism (because they wanted to).
