It seems that 'enhanced interrogation' techniques played a crucial role in the capture of Osama and others.

so the waterboard thing sounds like the worse act... which was already public knowledge.

I bet Dianne has had a sheltered and privileged life. but I guess now she feels righteous too.

why do these 'righteous' US people feel it's necessary to tell the world. I wonder if Dianne will sleep better tonight.

not sure where she was going with this. oh well... just going to make it easier for the GOP.
Yeah I was kinda expecting hardcore **** like pulling toenails, not sleep deprivation, come on

Let me try to give you a hint: pretty much everybody is in agreement that ISIS is evil for doing what it does, even Iran FFS. You went into Afghanistan and Iraq with the flag of moral high ground. If you want to keep it, you can't do a large series of things, regardless of what the other side is doing.
The other side is beheading people and mutilating them. We are...putting them in boxes.

There's a difference in scale here.

This really isn't bothering me the way I was expecting it to. It all seems so mundane.

Dunno, I guess the quick death by a bullet in the head ... maybe even a death by beheading is better than slowly dying of hypothermia:
At the Salt Pit, the junior officer ordered a prisoner named Gul Rahman shackled to the wall of his cell and stripped of most of his clothing. Mr. Rahman was found dead of hypothermia the next morning, lying on the bare concrete floor. Four months later, however, the junior officer was recommended for a cash award of $2,500 for his “consistently superior work.”

I agree that anyone who doesn't have an issue with this kind of treatment has opted in to having this kind of treatment whenever they are arrested or just noticed on the street.

that would make about as much sense as his usual output.
