I don't know if that's a fair comparison Loin. If you sub a swastika that would be like a red flag. Are low hanging pants the same as a swastika? I'd say no but it's closer to that then a crucifix.
While I generally disagree with profiling, sometimes it has SOME value.

If you don't want to be treated like a thug, don't dress and act like one. White or Black.
But I will agree that it's not always so black and white.

Low hanging pants aren't usually intended to make a political statement like a swastika, but nor do they have any religious significance like a yamulke etc. I'd say low hanging pants are comparable to a cowboy hat, both being fashion choices that I'd never make; only the former will get you harassed.

Racial profiling is real and is still happening in police departments around the country.
“It is no use trying to 'see through' first principles. If you see through everything, then everything is transparent. But a wholly transparent world is an invisible world. To 'see through' all things is the same as not to see.”

I'm ok with punk discrimination. I don't see any earthly reason why black people need low riders.

            This is a fair statement.

Agree that it is a gray area. And for the record, guys in Cowboy hats scare the crap out of me.

Yeah, it's not surprising you'd be OK with people you don't like being harassed for harmless behaviour.

No. Sagging says, "I'm a gangster."
Cowboy hat says, "I'm a cowboy."
That's why sagging gets you searched. Like I said, it's better than getting searched for being black.

Hey, it's not like the cops would be profiling people for being Muslim, they'd just be profiling people for looking Muslim, which is totally not the same thing.

I teach in a school. Ask me how I feel that our dress code specifically bans low riders?

Part of my job is harassing punks.

Wait, so if you're in favor of profiling Muslims, then why are you opposed to profiling people who are wearing a hijab? Did you not know what a hijab is and accused me of being stupid to cover up your ignorance?
