all i know is my best friend in high school was (and still is, i suppose) chinese
he has a sister maybe 5 years younger

while i can find asian women visually appealing, i have literal ptsd reactions to them in person
there are two very attractive asian women that frequent my gym
i usually follow a three mirror minimum when i'm catching a peak

I knew a japanese girl once.
She was cute and very nice.
We were walking on an empty road (students) and I had the inspiration to say "hey look! It's so deserted. It's like an atomic bomb fell on this place"
Maybe that was an unfortunate inspiration.
We had fun though, apparently japanese think greeks are crooks (americans are "aggressive")
also met her parents per accident.
I tried not to show my amusement/surprise that her mother kept bowing down so hard every time I looked at her
The girl said sorry about that, so apparently she also realized that was "out of the norm" in europe.
Her father seemed ecstatic that I was from Greece.

So has anyone EVER met a nice Chinese girl/woman?

I know it's true what has been said; She's 32, she is probably under a pressure to have kids from her family as well. WOmen in general at that age think about kids. Are we having them or not? A friend of mine jsut broke up with her GF because she wanted kids bad. It was we have kids or we break up, so they broke up.

I'm not even totally against having kids.

The one thing that is a bit scary to me, as was pointed out, was that she is definitely not naturalized - not yet. She does speak some Finnish and wants to stay here and not go back to China, and also said she understands I already have kids so I'm not into having lots more. So two things right there; She already sees me as live stock, ready to give her babies but then again, one is enough.

I will NOT move fast anywhere, I need to go slow, I will not let her beauty distract me, thanks Sava for painting tha timage in the back of my head, not something I want. And I will probably never marry her. If I do.... PRENUP! It will be like a romantic thing with lawyers. The house is my kids' house, period. I fought hard for it, I survived for it so I can pay it and give it to them, I'm not going to let any new people do what my ex tried to accomplish.

I've already decided that I prefer not to marry in the future, but in case it happens, it happens because I want to, I will be the one proposing (yeah, y ex proposed me....and I hesitated, didn't want to make her feel bad.... yeah, that's a sign NOT to marry! I learned a lot from that). And there will be a prenup and no lady friend of mine will dictate anything. I'm free now. We can live and grow together, but that includes me as well.

In conclusion, the prenup will give any future partner nothing but in the best case the possibility to live in this house for a certain amount of time. If I really fall in love, then probably for a long time, liek the rest of her life. But that's it. The house belongs to my kids. I won't betray them or let them down, ever.

We'll see how it goes. Of course I will have to be brutally honest about everything. She either deals with it or doesn't.

That's one of the basic issues now, all the ladies I want to meet are 30+, and they 1) have kids, which is OK, or 2) they want kids, which is OK up to a point but puts a pressure on me. Besides, I have to check with the doctors if it's OK, they said before that this is not something that is inherited by my kids,nor did I get it from my parents or grand parents so should be fine but I'll double check.

Undecided. The point is to cover all corners. No abusing assets or mixing things up.

This goes for everyone, not this particular woman.

It is possible to exclude the future her from inheriting me. Like, my ex wife gets nothing. So in the case of my death, I can leave everything to kids, and not the GF or wife (for wife we need a prenup). I can give a right to live in the house for fere, but that the future she cannot sell it or rent it etc. And that the kids have the full right to the house, ownership. I can have someone look after the asset as in it can't be sold without their mutual agreement or in case of x, y and z it can be sold, or we can get someone to look after what's good for them (young folks don't know what's good for them, or young adults). I could probably even dictate that even when the kids inherit everything, they could not give it to her in any form, including money.

I haven't thought about it too much, what I do know is I can stop just about any kidn of way for the asset to be given to my ex as the surviving parent of the kid who'd have the house. I don't think she even realises she will never return here.

Obviously this would be my first question as the president of this small country as well. We already know our northern dimension, and our slavic neighbours as well, and surely we know a lot about our beloved Russian neighbor as well. In fact Russians marry, as a foreign group, Finns the most when it comes to international marriage in here. Not much of a problem there. Russian women seem to be quite trusthworthy and reliable partners. At least in here.

But the Chinese, obviosly the new overlords with the Brazilians and Indians soon, they will just overpower us with sheer mass of people and production. What do we know about them? You guys know because you are furriners in your melting pot but we don't. It's all white here. Only thing we know about Africa is Somalians and they haven't integrated here well so we're mostly racist about black people as well. Asians? Not so much. We like Asians because they work hard, set up businesses, never complain and when we give **** to them, they just take it. So we get to be racist and they don't complain - we like people from Asia. Most of Asian people - I think - come from Vietnam. Some Japanese people, but we get along with Japanese anyway because we are both racist and exclusionists, quiet and judgemental. Our national psyche' are in constant orgasm, unified in "we are better then them". And we have moomins we both like. And secret perversions. But Chinese? I have to crack this puzzle.

Not quite the same, but I dated a Korean girl for awhile. She was nice, found her hard to understand but we got along well.

Best advice is to go about how you would normally do things. If she's a good fit it will be because of her personality, etc.

Oh, and I would watch out for what they said about, "living as a Chinese in a foreign country." does she mix well? Does she make the effort to be a part of Finnish society? That would probably be my primary concern. I wouldn't date her because, "I was interested in learning more about Chinese people," but only if I liked HER in particular. Also what was said about Chinese culture in general. Ran into that with Japanese folks on my opinion that the atomic bomb was the correct solution over the invasion of Japan...

The japanese girl I knew, while certaintly being cute, she displayed what can politely be described as timidity. To the point that you'd think she was made from rice paper that would tear in front of an extrovent mediterranean personality. Had to be carerful like walking on broken glass.
No such worries with italian girls though.
