We should stop putting women in prison, for anything.

Because every time you hear anything that's in any way positive towards women, you seem to paint it as some wild attack against men. This article is a perfect example. Only 8.5% of inmates are women (in the UK that's 5%), and studies show that women usually end up in prison due to specific causes related to abuse in their earlier lives. Studies also show that they have an even worse time in prison than men do, and that putting non-violent women offenders in community based rehabilitation schemes has astonishingly good effects on preventing recidivism. The author goes on to say that many of the same issues also effect men, but that given that women are such a smaller proportion of the prison population and the effects of the proposed change are so clear, it seems (in her words) 'a good place to start'.
Now for most people there's not really much to argue with there, unless you're part of the 'lock em up!' crowd that think that all crime should result in a long stretch behind bars. For you though that's not it is it? For you the problem is purely that she's talking about women not men. Somehow you've translated this perfectly reasonable article into her being a feminazi who wants to indoctrinate women into hating men. I have literally no idea how you could reasonably come to any such conclusion.

Kentonio. My position is that men and women should receive equal treatment. How is that radical? All you did is ***** about my language, which you don't like. And if you don't like too ****ing bad.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

(I don't know why I'm bothering, but) Kidicious, here's the reason why your position is radical:
Say there's an asteroid hurtling toward the Earth that will annihilate all life on the planet (including men). Bruce Willis and other scientists decide that the best way to remove this threat is by throwing kinetic impactors at the asteroid in an effort to change its course. Raving and frothing from the mouth, you enter the scene and protest that if you attempt to change the course of an asteroid, you might accidentally put it on a collision course with Earth. Bruce Willis punches you in the face and mutters something about MRA mother****ers. /sceneClick here if you're having trouble sleeping.

not putting them in the article was just a feminist plot."The Christian way has not been tried and found wanting, it has been found to be hard and left untried" - GK Chesterton.

I've never heard such a weak argument, and a bull**** one at that.Originally posted by kentonio View PostEquality doesn't mean everything has to happen at exactly the same time for both men and women otherwise it's some huge travesty. The truth is equality outrages you. It makes you burn red at the neck. It makes you grind your teeth.
You ****ing hate me kentonio. Let your anger free. You hate when I talk about gender equality.
So I will let you try again. But your weak bull****, I will leave alone.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?

Bleh. I'm going to address your weak **** for this reason, you're a feminist, and it's wrong to expect too much.
Ok, so when women got the right to vote in my country they did not gain the obligation of serving in war. They still don't btw. Only men have to register with the selective service. Now what would you say to the anti-feminists of the time who said that women shouldn't have the right to vote because the system is not equal for men and women, because women don't have to serve. What would you say if they called women's suffrage a travesty, the same way you call making women serve equal punishment a travesty.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Actually I quite like you. I always have a soft spot for people who are willing to stand up for the things they believe in the face of whatever anyone else may think. I do hate when you talk about what you seem to think of as 'gender equality' though, because it isn't anything like equality, it's just hate. I hope you get past it at some point.Originally posted by Kidicious View PostYou ****ing hate me kentonio. Let your anger free. You hate when I talk about gender equality.

The sad thing is that you don't recognize that actual feminists would find only men being required to do selective service just as unfair as you do. The thing is though that it's not feminists who came up with that disparity and it's not feminists who continue it.Originally posted by Kidicious View PostBleh. How in the world do you equate men's rights with hate? Is fighting for women's rights hating men? I don't think so. I support most equal rights. The only one that I don't is equal pay, because I don't think there is that much discrimination. That doesn't mean I think people who believe in equal pay hate men.Originally posted by kentonio View PostAnd there you go again, off on the crazy cycle.

This is all non-sense kentonio. Equal rights is not hate. There you go. Now you can please explain why equality is hate.I drank beer. I like beer. I still like beer. ... Do you like beer Senator?
